CHIEF Ron Hayes

Chief Deputy Hayes
started his Law Enforcement career in 1993 in Harlan, KY with the
Harlan Police Department. Chief Deputy Hayes worked in patrol after
graduating from the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy
in Richmond KY.
He
began his tenure with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office in 2011
as a Corrections Officer in the Jail. After a few months in the
Jail, he was transferred to the patrol division where he worked his
way up through the ranks as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergent, Patrol
Lieutenant, and the position of Chief Deputy. He was promoted to
Chief Deputy in 2019.
